View from the clothesline.

As I hung this morning's laundry on the line, Alpine and Mickey casually wandered by, nibbling grass and hay while enjoying another brilliant autumn day in Vermont.  They are now dry cows, earning about 60 days vacation time before they freshen in November, when they will start lactating again.  So, until then, they get to live as ladies of leisure in the dry cow pasture, basically doing nothing but resting and eating and staying strong and healthy.  And, of course, adding even more charm to our beautiful surroundings.  Hanging clothes on the line was never so enjoyable!
